Our Physical Therapy Team

Our physical therapists at Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen have advanced clinical education and training, specialty certifications and years of experience providing hands-on healing. Our therapists have placed an emphasis on establishing whole-body wellness and continually respond to advances in research, technology, science and health care.


Chip Fisher, Clinic Director, MPT

Chip graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 1997 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. He moved to Sarasota in 2000 and started working here in 2006 as Clinic Director. He is proud to have taken part in our transition to being the very 1st Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center in 2013. In 2014 he became a co-owner of Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen. Chip has worked with a variety of patient populations during his career. He does take special interest in assessing and treating balance disorders to prevent falls from occurring. He is a certified Fyzical Senior Balance Re-trainer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and his 4 children. In his "free time," Chip likes to stay active in Sarasota's community theater.

Mike Katz, MPT

Co-Owner of Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen since 2014, Mike earned a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of North Florida in 2002, and Bachelor's Degree in Finance at the University of South Florida in 1998. Mike specializes in treatments of the spine, shoulders, ankles, knees, hips, and hands. Mike has a vast array of experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Born in Philadelphia, Mike is a passionate Philly sports fan and was a high school teammate with the legend Kobe Bryant at Lower Merion High School. Mike played college tennis at the University of South Florida, serves as a tennis instructor for people of all ages, enjoys playing guitar, and exercising. Mike is happily married to his wife Anne and is the proud father of his two boys, Levi and Nathan.

Nate Sirkis, PT, DPT, CSCS 

Nate grew up in Cecil County, MD before relocating 15 minutes North on I-95 to University of Delaware where he earned his B.S. in Exercise Science, with a goal of eventually pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. Nate worked part-time as a physical therapy tech in outpatient PT clinics in the Maryland/Delaware area. At the end of his undergraduate studies, Nate became a certified personal trainer and began training clients of all ages and backgrounds to help them achieve their fitness goals. In May 2020, Nate moved South to Fort Lauderdale, FL to begin graduate school at Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the NSCA while in PT school and served as president of his cohort as well as the College of Health Care Sciences. He participated in a capstone research project while in the program which investigated manual lymphatic drainage as a countermeasure to the fluid shift which astronauts experience when in space, which will be published in the coming months. In early 2023, Nate permanently relocated to Sarasota, FL, and in May 2023, he graduated Summa Cum Laude with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT). Nate spends his time outside of the clinic watching hockey (go Cats!), playing with his dog, Quinnie, playing pickleball, going to the beach, reading, and watching reality TV shows.  

Nate’s PT treatment areas of interest are shoulder pain, low back pain/sciatica, athletes returning to sport, knee replacements, and cervical headaches

    

Jason Grush, PTA

Jason graduated from the State College of Florida and has been a  PTA since 2010 and has been with Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen since 2011. He has also been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004.  He specializes in treating orthopedic and neurological conditions.  He enjoys figuring out cause/effect and watching people make progress. In his free time he enjoys building, fixing things, helping others, fishing and hanging out with his wife                                                                                                                                                                                        

Ramon Barroso, PTA

Ramon grew up in Cuba until the age of 14, when he and his family decided to live in a beatiful free country full of opportunities and relocated to Miami, FL and later Sarasota.  He is a bilingual (Spanish & English) PTA who received his training at Keiser University. He has worked here at Fyzical Sarasota-Cattlemen since graduating in 2016.  During his time here at Fyzical, he has worked with a lot of vestibular and balance dysfunction clients and is a certified Fyzical Senior Balance Retrainer. In addition, he has worked with orthopedic rehab, and had an ACL injury/surgery of his own back in 2016-2017 which made him understand not only the physical challenges but also the mental toll that an injury can have on someone.  What he enjoys the most about his job is helping patients regain their function and improve their quality of life by overcoming whatever physical challenge they might be facing. One thing that gives him a lot of self satisfaction is educating patients on independence towards a home exercise program and also how to self-manage at home.  In his spare time he likes to stay active through fitness, soccer, and dancing which allows him to stay in touch with his culture. He has also been trying to learn how to play Bongos.

Anthony Johnson, PTA

Anthony is from the beautiful city of Miami, Florida. He graduated from Florida A&M University in 2013 with a Bachelors in Allied Health. He soon after moved to Sarasota with aspirations to progress in Physical Therapy after working as a Cobbler, Paralegal, and swim instructor. He attended Keiser University in 2019, graduated and began working with home health. He has been with Fyzical Cattlemen since May 2021, and enjoys working on improving patients’ balance and low back pain. Currently, Anthony enjoys listening to music, playing video games, spending time with family, and collecting shoes (60+ pairs and counting). Anthony’s claim to fame took place in Washington, DC where he participated in the Marching 100 during President Obama’s first inauguration. He also enjoys rooting for all Miami sports teams. Go Dolphins!

Rayna Lounsbury, PTA

Rayna was born and raised in Sarasota. She received her PTA training at the State College of Florida and has been with Fyzical Sarasota-Cattelmen since graduating in 2022. Rayna also has a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality Management, which she earned in 2015. She enjoys being able to help people decrease their pain, regain their function, and improve their quality of life. In her free time she enjoys doing various crafts such as making book safes, and also enjoys going for walks and riding her bike around town.
