Biomechanical Dynamic Taping

In April, SWOPT therapist attended a workshop there they learned how to effectively use the new taping techniques.

Dynamic Tape is not a kinesiology or athletic tape. First, Kinesio Tape is cloth material and stretches longitudinally (2-ways). The tape lifts the skin and neurophysiologically aids with pain, lymphatic frainage and encourages neuromuscular function.  Kinesiology tape is designed to miminc the movment and stretch of the skin, which is used for neurological affect like swelling and pain.

Dynamic tape is a Biomechanical Tape, an entirely new category of sports and therapeutic taping. These innovative, 4-way stretching tapes with strong elastic resistance and recoil of varying grades, absorb and inject force to reduce the workload on the body.

The Biomechanical tape aims to manage the loading profile of the tissues- either directly by absorbing load or infirectly by effecting an improvement in kinematics.

Our taping methodology aims to directly manage load, modify movement patterns and function.
