IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization)

The Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a method to improve soft tissue mobilization to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue. The design of these instruments provides our licensed physical therapists with the ability to locate restrictions. This allows the clinician to locate and treat the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure.

Our Physical Therapists use Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization to help with:

  • Increased mobility
  • Restores proper function
  • Decreases pain
  • Faster rehabilitation and recovery
  • Reduced inflammation
  • Chronic conditions thought to be permanent

Some conditions that can be treated with Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization include:
