Dr. Dan Deems was featured as the keynote speaker in the 2013 Health Fair - "A History of Fitness - The Evolution!"

Fyzical is advised by Dr. Deems, an otolaryngologist who also has a PhD in Physiological Psychology and Neuroscience, focusing on brain-body and neuro-anatomical circuitry. Dr. Deems joined the faculty of University of Pennsylvania in 1986, studying the brain regions damaged in various neurologic conditions such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Deems is president and founder of University Ear, Nose & Throat Associates of Sarasota, FL. He holds a faculty appointment at Florida State University. He has spent the last 16 years studying and treating patients with balance and other ENT issues.
Dr. Deems has more than 70 presentations, publications, book chapters, and books. Deems received commendation for outstanding teaching in neurobiology from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Edgar J. Sacher Award for outstanding research in neurobiology at Pennsylvania.
