 Physical Therapy for Shoulder Dislocations

Dislocation of a shoulder means the upper arm bone (humerus) has come out of the shoulder joint. This usually occurs as a result of a significant and direct force to the shoulder joint. Shoulder dislocations are extremely painful and have an impact on activities of daily living and participation in sports. Optimal management of a shoulder dislocation helps to restore function of the shoulder joint, prevent complications, and prevent recurrent dislocations.
