An Update from FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers of Camas

Last Updated March 23, 2020

We want to thank you for being a patient of FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers of Camas. We appreciate the trust that you’ve put in us to help you on your health and wellness journey.

We understand that Coronavirus is scary, and top of mind, for everyone right now. Our hearts go out to all of those who’ve been affected. The health and safety of our patients and employees has always been our top priority, and this is a rapidly evolving situation that we’ll continue to monitor through the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and our local health organizations.

We are dedicated to the safety of our clients and to this end, effective March 23, 2020, we are transitioning from in-clinic visits to virtual visits.  This is our way of complying with the CDC recommendations for social distancing to flatten the curve and help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.  Virtual Visits, known as Telehealth and E-visits) are now being covered by most insurance companies and provide the safest access to your physical therapist during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Through Virtual Appointments, your physical therapist is able to evaluate your pain or mobility problems, prescribe and progress exercsies, provide recommendations related to activity modification, pain relief and more to help you get on the road to recovery.

Virtual Visits (Telehealth and E-visits) are essentially a Video Chat with your physical therapist...  think FaceTime or Skype.  Once you schedule a Virtual Appointment, you will receive a link by text or email (You Choose) prior to your appointment.  Just click on this link when you are ready for your visit to start and you will be entered into your physical therapists virtual waiting room.  Once your therapist is ready, they will initiate the Video Chat and you will be connected to your physical therapist through either your mobile device or computer.

If you believe that your condition is urgent and a telehealth visit is not meeting your needs, we will be offering In-Clinic visits on a case by case basis.  These visits are received for acute cases, post-op patients and for clients whose condition is such that it would be detrimental for them to wait until after the COVID-19 pandemic has passed.  If in-clinic visits are approved, the goal will be to transition to Virtual Visits, once your condition has been stabilized for the purpose of social distancing and to minimize the possibility of coronavirus exposure to staff or patients.

Your health and wellness are of the utmost importance to us here at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers. We want you to feel safe and comfortable, so you can continue to improve your health and wellness through consistent treatments as outlined in your individual plan of care.

We’re continuing to ensure our employees have the information they need to stay healthy or stay home if they aren’t feeling well. All of these practices, and our business decisions, are informed by guidance from the CDC and local health organizations. Simple tips (from the CDC) that we encourage all to follow include:

  • Washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoiding touching the eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Staying home when sick.
  • Covering the mouth and nose with the inside of the elbow when coughing or sneezing.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Again, we here at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers want to thank you, our patients, for your continued trust and support of our patients, staff, and clinic.
