Relieve Pain, Improve Mobility, and Speed Up Recovery with IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a method to improve soft tissue mobilization to effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue. The design of these instruments provides our licensed physical therapists with the ability to locate restrictions. This allows the clinician to locate and treat the affected area with the appropriate amount of pressure.
Our Physical Therapists use Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization to help with:
  • Increased mobility
  • Restoring proper function
  • Faster rehabilitation and recovery
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Chronic conditions thought to be permanent

Some conditions that can be treated with IASTM include:

  • Achilles tendinosis and tendonitis
  • General tendinopathies (e.g., patellar, biceps, triceps)
  • IT band syndrome
  • Rotator cuff injuries and shoulder impingement
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Post-Surgical and traumatic scars
  • Lateral and medial epicondylitis (tennis/golfer’s elbow)
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
