What is the Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid Plan?
Our Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid plan requires the patient to establish themselves as a patient of FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center of Colonia by coming in to the clinic for their initial evaluation. If the patient and their physical therapist agree that Telehealth Physical Therapy is a viable option, the patient may be able to complete their plan of care via Telehealth session, or at least minimize the number of sessions required to be completed in the physical therapy clinic setting.
Our Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid plan is useful in several common conditions. For example:
- Patients who have established care with FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center of Colonia, but have difficulty with transportation. We realize that transportation can be an issue for many reasons:
- Car Trouble
- Distance
- Reliance on Family or Caregivers
Because of the unique service that FYZICAL provides, many of our patients are referred from throughout the State of NJ. We understand the challenges involved with traveling multiple hours for a physical therapy visit, and we want to do our best to accommodate those patients. Our Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid Plan can get you the care you need without concerns of having consistent, reliable transportation.
- Patients who are immunocompromised. When a patient is immunocompromised or has underlying health conditions that make it difficult to be in public spaces, we want to assure them that we are doing all that we can to maintain a healthy safe environment in a clinic setting. However, we understand that an increase in exposures may also mean an increase in illness. As such, our Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid Plan reduces the chances of exposure while improving your overall physical health.
- Patients who are homebound. We are routinely asked by our physician partners about care for homebound patients. Because of the security and confidence that our Safety Overhead System provides, we prefer to see our patients in the clinic setting. But we realize that some patients need to remain in the home. If we can get a quality initial evaluation in the clinic as part of our Telehealth Physical Therapy Hybrid Plan, we can serve our home bound patients successfully.
- Patients who are traveling for business or pleasure.*
*When a patient is traveling outside of the state of NJ, our ability to provide services may be impacted by the laws and Physical Therapy Practice Act of the travel destination. Telehealth Physical Therapy provided for patients traveling will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
