Have you ever wondered what it means for a clinic to incorporate a multidisciplinary practice? Here at FYZICAL we strive to incorporate and implement a multidisciplinary practice in order to provide the best services for our patients. But what does this mean exactly?
Multidisciplinary practices consist of professionals from different disciplines, with various skills and knowledge, coming together to contribute and provide services to a patient. Having a multidisciplinary team helps to promote and improve the delivery of health care to patients as the team members collaborate and discuss the progress of their shared patient! At the center of our multidisciplinary practice is always the patient and providing the best care for them and their families! |

At FYZICAL, our therapists within their disciplines are able to learn from one another which can later positively affect the services they provide as they are more aware of what each professional does and what their goals are for a patient. As discussed in our recent success stories blogs, many of our patients receive more than one service while at FYZICAL Therapy. By having physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy all within one clinic, we are able to collaborate as professionals and provide the utmost care to our patients. By utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, our patients are provided with multiple opportunities to practice and carry over their learned skills from one discipline while working with another therapist in a different discipline. In addition, as a multidisciplinary team, we’re able to discuss the progress of our patients and work together to ensure the progress continues within all areas!
