ORTHOPEDIC MANUAL THERAPY (Joint and soft tissue mobilization)
We specialize in advanced manual therapy approaches to orthopaedic evaluation and treatment (all body regions). We serve as a training center for higher level post-professional physical therapy education and mentorship in manual therapy.
FUNCTIONAL AND INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE
Precise exercise training for orthopaedic, sports and spinal injuries, including core stabilization
training, Pilates and gym programs. We will help you to progress to independent exercise programs, community-based classes, or return to your athletic pursuits.
VIDEO GAIT ANALYSIS FOR RUNNERS
Slow motion video taping of your running style allows us help you run with less pain, improved form and efficiency. This includes addressing footwear.
SELF MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES
Ways to modify activity or use equipment to minimize injury, speed recovery and maintain or
improve upon gains made. Includes chronic pain management strategies.
WOMEN'S HEALTH / PELVIC HEALTH
Prenatal and postpartum pain management and strength training.
Osteoporosis prevention and exercise.
Pelvic floor pain and urinary incontinence programs for women and men
Consultation and development of an exercise program to meet your fitness goals.
These services can be provided without physician referral but usually do not qualify for insurance reimbursement. This program does not address specific injury treatment.
TELEHEALTH PHYSICAL THERAPY (see Telehealth)
Physical therapy evaluation and consultation without leaving your home. While we generally prefer to see our clients in-person, the telehealth option (video / audio) is a good option for those who have restrictive work schedules, are travelling, have difficulty getting in to the clinic, or who are sheltering in place.
BALANCE TRAINING (see Balance Therapy)
Fall prevention strategies, functional dynamic balance training, device consultation. Balance problame often have an underlying orthopedic component.
VESTIBULAR REHABILITATION (see Vestibular Rehabilitation)
Addressing symptoms of dizziness and disquilibrium associated with inner ear (vestibular) problems, with precise corrective maneuvers, education, balance training and management strategies. Problems with dizziness may result in secondary orthopedic problems such as a stiff and painful neck.
