At FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, we take a collaborative and holistic approach to successfully treat patients with pelvic floor conditions. Our therapists have had extensive coursework in the area of pelvic floor health allowing them to effectively address our patients’ issues as they move through different stages of life.

Therapeutic Treatment for the following:

Treatment varies dependent upon needs of patient but may include:

Evaluation/Assessment
Patient education on condition and modifications to lifestyle
Urge suppression techniques and autonomic quieting
Biofeedback for relaxation of pelvic floor muscles or recruitment of pelvic floor
Address musculoskeletal dysfunction & movement imbalances
Instruction in posture, body mechanics and appropriate breathing
Instruction in pelvic floor exercises in coordination with diaphragmatic breathing and core recruitment
Manual therapy - soft tissue mobilization to pelvic floor muscles
Use of vaginal dilators
Bladder training
Toileting postures and mechanics

What you can expect at Fyzical Hialeah Gardens for your Initial Pelvic evaluation:

At your initial evaluation, the therapist will review your symptoms or concerns, and conduct a comprehensive examination in a private setting. The therapist will conduct a thorough evaluation and will thereafter explain your diagnosis, and partner with you to create a plan of care to meet your treatment goals.
