Greetings

Welcome to the Fyzical Indialantic newsletter.

October Is National Physical Therapy Month

Every year in October, we celebrate the many professionals in the Physical Therapy field, including Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy assistants, and students who work hard to improve the lives of those in need of care.

As Physical Therapists, we help people lead more pain-free lives and often reduce the need for strong prescription medications, such as opioids and steroid injections. Furthermore, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) established a national campaign to increase awareness about the importance of receiving Physical Therapy early to lower the risks of long-term pain and complications.

The APTA also emphasizes the positive influence of regular activity, explaining that even moderate amounts of physical activity can lead to better health and longer life.

Additional benefits of having timely access to Physical Therapy include improving coordination and strength, boosting cardiovascular function, heightening lung capacity, and helping some people avoid surgery.

At Fyzical Indialantic we are thankful for our great team of professionals.  We are here to help you - whether it be for injury recovery or managing ongoing aches and pains.

Enhance Mental Performance Through Regular Exercise

Have you ever wondered whether exercise could do more than just help you stay in shape or improve your physical health? Research shows that exercising for about 20 minutes a day can help boost mental performance.

More specifically, engaging in an aerobic exercise, such as cycling, swimming, or walking, at a moderate intensity followed by a cool down session has been shown to improve cognitive functions. Concentration, memory, and functional capacity, which refers to the ability to effectively complete activities, can all improve with exercise.
