FYZICAL Brevard Beaches Welcomes Sean Dourney to our Indialantic clinic
Sean Dourney, DPT, OCS, brings significant expertise in orthopedic physical therapy to our team. A local graduate of Melbourne Central Catholic High School, class of 2010, Sean earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida in 2016 and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from AdventHealth University in 2020. Following his doctorate, Sean completed a focused orthopedic residency program, achieving the distinguished status of Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2021. His clinical interests include a wide range of orthopedic conditions, with a strong emphasis on post-surgical rehabilitation and spine care, utilizing evidence-based and hands-on approaches. Additionally, Sean holds certifications in dry needling and LSVT BIG for patients with Parkinson’s Disease.
During PT school, Sean traveled to India for international service-learning where he gained insights into alternative medicine and holistic care. Sean is passionate about treating a diverse range of conditions, such as post-surgical, spine pain, and neuromuscular dysfunctions. He focuses on the restoration of patients’ functional capacity through evidence-based practice and hands-on approaches.
