Amy has been a Licensed Physical Therapist for more than 24 years and still gets 'fired up' about Physical Therapy and enjoys analyzing the best treatment approach for each individual patient. In addition to her formal education, Amy has taken numerous Continued Education courses regarding: back and neck pain, shoulder injuries, injured workers, knee and ankle pathology, pregnancy, core stabilization and more.

Amy is originally from South-Central Minnesota. She enjoys outdoor activities, physical exercise, tennis and caring for her four active children. Physical Therapy continues to be a very rewarding career for her and ownership of the company has been an excellent experience. Amy is both a clinician and administrator of 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers. She has the privilege of directing an outstanding TEAM of individuals and enjoys treating patients of all ages!

Alex was born and raised in Huntley, Illinois. He joined the team at 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy & Balance Centers in August, 2013, after finishing graduate school at Northern Illinois University. Alex enjoyed the area of outpatient orthopedics during clinical rotations because it allowed him to use a multitude of treatment techniques to maximize function. In addition, he enjoyed being able to see progress in people over a longer course of rehabilitation. Alex enjoys seeing a varied caseload, including general orthopedic conditions and vestibular rehabilitation. In his spare time, Alex enjoys being with friends and family, working out, reading, and being outside. He and his wife are enjoying being new homeowners in Huntley.
Attended four American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) conferences including numerous orthopedic rehabilitation courses and vestibular rehabilitation (for dizziness and balance disorders).
Alex strives to maximize function for patients through treatment and education. His main goal is to progress people as much as possible during rehabilitation and to educate people so they may be independent managers of a consistent home exercise routine.

Jodi was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. She enjoys exercising, dancing and taking care of her son and daughter. She is proud to hear her daughter say, "My mom helps people at her job." Jodi finds it particularly rewarding to help patients who weren't aware physical therapy was available to them. During her 24 years of clinical practice, she has become specialized in women's health physical therapy. For the past 18 years, she has been treating incontinence, pelvic pain and pre/postnatal conditions. She is one of only a few therapists in the area treating these issues. She finds that physical therapy affords her a unique opportunity to spend quality one-on-one time with her patients.
Jodi's goal for her patients is to maximize function, decrease pain and improve overall well-being. She enjoys assisting her patients in living life to its fullest.
Stephanie Physical Therapist D.P.T.

Stephanie was raised in Marengo, Illinois, where she and her dog Maddie still reside.
In addition to her Physical Therapy degree, Stephanie is also a Licensed Massage Therapist with 10 years of experience in the field including a specialization in myofascial release.
As a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Stephanie looks forward to treating patients with an evidence-based practice. She genuinely enjoys working with patients with athletic and/or orthopedic injuries. Stephanie plans to further her already profound education through continuing education and clinical specializations to enhance your experience as she continues her career with our team.
Kim Front Desk Coordinator (Algonquin)
As the Front Desk Coordinator, in Algonquin, Kim enjoys lending a hand to assist the staff in any way necessary. The most rewarding part of her job is watching patients progress toward their therapy goals. Her background includes 15 years of medical office experience.

Kim lives in Hampshire, Illinois, with her husband and two children. She likes to spend time with her family and enjoys walking her dog outdoors.
As the Front Desk Coordinator in both Elgin and Sleepy Hollow, Kim is the welcoming face and voice for 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy customers. She loves customer interaction and especially seeing how physical therapy can change customers' lives. Renee lives in Marengo, Illinois, and enjoys traveling with her husband to sandy beaches and spending time with her two kids and three dogs. Renee believes in a healthy lifestyle and can often be found cheering on her family who compete in Rugby and powerlifting or supporting Special Olympics fundraisers. In her free time, she works at the local food pantry and volunteers at a local animal rescue to give back to her community.
Renee has been in the Marketing business for 30 years and educates consumers on the benefits of all aspects of physical therapy. She collaborates with medical professionals to help patients make an informed decision to receive quality care for their physical therapy needs. Renee has developed her marketing profession in multiple senior living and medical communities since she began her career. This has allowed her to create important connections to the community in which she has lived and loved for the past 26 years.

Gigi moved to Huntley upon retiring from her corporate career in Marketing & Business Development in 2013 and has been pursuing her passion for acupuncture and herbs. In January of 2018, Gigi joined the 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy team as a marketing assistant and in March of 2018 as an acupuncturist where she complements the physical therapy services offered. Along with her husband and dog, Gigi likes to hike the local parks and conservation areas identifying herbs in the community. She enjoys cooking farm to table and is always looking for healthy local resources.
Gigi is a Licensed Acupuncturist, a Diplomate of Acupuncture accredited with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalists Guild (AHG). She was past president of the AHG Illinois Chapter and was on the Governing Board of the Glastonbury Foundation, an organization dedicated to sustainable living, herbal education, and ecology of wild plant stewardship. She has been studying and practicing western herbalism with Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic methods and a special interest in animals since 1999. She teaches and lectures on the subject of herbs and has published several articles on the use of herbs and aromatherapy for dogs. In her acupuncture practice, she utilizes Acutonics, Aroma Acupoint Therapy, cupping, gua sha, and other modalities in addition to acupuncture and herbs.
As Marketing Assistant, Gigi ensures that 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy projects a professional image in the media. As a collaborating acupuncturist, Gigi enjoys working with the 1st Choice Fyzical Therapy team to provide acupuncture in a combined effort as well as providing her own clients with alternative approaches to health.
