Why Physical Therapy?

"I always knew that I wanted to be involved with healthcare, because all my life, I've always wanted to do something to help others. When I discovered physical therapy, I knew I had found the right field for me. I've come to appreciate physical therapy even more over the years because it's so positive. Helping people get out of pain, boosting their mobility, giving them support and understanding - these are the most rewarding aspects of what I do. I'm so committed to it because it's all about helping people feel better so that they can get back to living their lives."

“As a co-owner of Fyzical (formerly Creative Therapy Resource), I am also able to give the patients the kind of care I believe in. I feel it's important that our patients receive lots of one-on-one time with the therapist. It's the kind of care that gets results, and it's the kind of care I feel our patients deserve.”

Combining wellness with rehabilitation

"I’ve discovered that in order to give patients the best care, I need to incorporate fitness, weight loss, and recreational activities into a person’s rehabilitation program. This is important to me and I work closely with each of my patients to achieve the best outcome for them.  I have incorporated parts of my own exercise regime and Pilates’ techniques to provide a well rounded strengthening program for my patients.  My goal is to educate you so that you will have the tools to stay as healthy, mobile and pain free as possible.

An Independent, Creative Approach To Therapy

"What brought me to physical therapy is my lifelong interest in the human body and how it works. In addition to my physical therapy degree, I've completed advanced training in areas like weightlifting, vestibular deficits, and the spine to further my knowledge of the musculoskeletal system. The extra education pays off in the kind of therapy I'm able to give our patients. I customize every therapy program, often in creative ways that patients can enjoy.

A Teacher at Heart

“I came to the United States 25 years ago as a trained and practicing elementary school teacher.  I was studying English, taking general education courses and started working as a transporter for a physical therapy department. It gave me a wonderful opportunity to learn that I enjoyed helping people in their recovery from an injury or other ailments. I changed careers from teaching to physical therapy.  I realized that it was a chance to preserve my teaching skills in a different setting and I have never looked back.”

Positive attitude makes for better outcomes

I truly believe that 50% of the recovery and success in therapy is through positive thinking and upbeat attitude.  The other 50% is effort, patience, and hard work. I am convinced that it applies to all spheres of our lives and I always deliver this message to my patients during my treatments. I am very happy to become a team member of FYZICAL. The one to one treatment lets me educate my patients at a higher level than in most facilities.  During my career I have treated adults in home health, inpatient and outpatient settings.  I understand the need to keep people safe and independent in their home as well as minimize pain. “

Why Physical Therapy?

I’ve always known that I wanted to go into healthcare; I just didn’t know which route the right path for me would be. It was my aunt who is a pediatrician in Philadelphia, who had suggested that I pursue Physical Therapy because of my interest and background in athletics and exercise. I’ve always been a strong believer in exercise to not only get people active, but also help heal those who have been injured or succumb to physical ailments. The schooling I’ve received and the clinical experiences that I’ve gone through to get to where I am today made me realize that Physical Therapy is not just about teaching exercise. It includes educating patients about how to safely function throughout their daily lives as efficiently as possible so that they can live their life as healthy as possible.

My motto “Don’t quit on yourself …. Always bet on yourself …. BE ELITE!”

Physical Therapy: To Improve Quality of Life

"I chose physical therapy as my career because I always had an inclination toward helping others. Physical Therapy is a field which uses scientific methods to help people in amazing ways, like learning to walk, being able to balance, or abolishing pain. I have found the most rewarding aspect of my work to be the ability to help people recover from injury or illness and help them return to their prior activities.   I've seen people come in without the ability to balance or safely walk and using proven, reliable techniques I can improve their balance and get them walking again. It is a privilege knowing that I helped someone relieve their pain, get stronger, and become more functional."

Proven treatment techniques for improved care

"I enjoy treating all muscular conditions, with a special interest in geriatric strengthening and balance training.  One of my strengths as a physical therapist assistant is my quest for knowledge. Post-graduate education is important in order to keep up to date in the latest techniques, especially since the field of Physical Therapy is constantly changing. Continuing education is a priority FYZICAL® and I am able to attend 3-4 courses a year, as well as, learn from the experienced Physical Therapists that I work with daily.

Fyzician Liaison

I have always been interested in working in healthcare, but I never knew where to start. I was VERY excited to find a position where I can use my communication and marketing degree while still getting my toes wet in healthcare. Healthcare marketing is crucial for a business like ours! Spreading the word about holistic & preventative care is wonderful. I never realized how much I like physical therapy until I got my job as a Liaison at FYZICAL®. I love meeting new people; from different doctor’s offices, networking events & our patients. I’ve built so many meaningful relationships in the year that I have been here. I thoroughly enjoy what I do, from designing our marketing material, going to “Lunch & Learns,” helping with seminars & bringing in new patients to our offices. I can be creative yet have opportunities to help people. It is amazing to see patients, that I bring in, get better.
