HYPERMOBILE EHLERS DANLOS SYNDROME AND POSTURAL ORTHOSTATIC TACHYCARDIA SYNDROME

As a physical therapist specializing in the treatment of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), I provide a delicate and personalized approach to care, grounded in both professional training and personal experience living with hEDS. I’ve completed multiple advanced courses to better understand and address the complex comorbidities often associated with these conditions. My goal is not only to support patients physically, but to empower them with the knowledge and tools needed to manage their symptoms confidently. I am deeply committed to guiding each individual on their unique path toward improved function, health, and overall well-being. Treatments are tailored to specific patient needs and no two patients will ever experience the same treatment and that is OKAY. My goal is to provide you with resources and the utmost level of care to not only improve your ability to live with this chronic condition but allow you to achieve things you never thought possible.

dry needling

TRIGGER POINT DRY NEEDLING

I offer dry needling as part of my treatment approach to address a variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, athletic recovery, restless leg syndrome, and neuromuscular dysfunction. This technique targets myofascial trigger points to help reduce pain, release muscle tension, and restore normal movement patterns. It can be especially effective in promoting neuromuscular re-education, improving performance, and accelerating recovery. My goal is to integrate dry needling thoughtfully appropriate patients' individualized plan to maximize function and long-term results.

TMJ DYSFUNCTION

In my practice, I treat TMJ dysfunction with a comprehensive approach that addresses both the muscular and joint components contributing to pain and limited jaw movement. Treatment may include manual therapy, soft tissue work, postural correction, and exercises to improve jaw stability and function. I also educate patients on habits and lifestyle factors that may be contributing to their symptoms. My goal is to reduce pain, improve mobility, and help patients regain comfort in everyday activities like speaking, eating, and sleeping.

PARKINSONS DISEASE

PARKINSON WELLNESS RECOVERY

In treating Parkinson’s disease, I use principles of neuroplasticity to help retrain the brain and improve functional movement through repetition, intensity, and task-specific exercises. My approach focuses on the four foundational building blocks of movement: extension against gravity, weight shifting, axial rotation, and transitional movements, which are essential for maintaining mobility and balance. I design individualized programs that encourage patients to stay active, engaged, and confident in their abilities. Ultimately, my goal is to promote independence and self-efficacy, empowering patients to take control of their health and quality of life.
