Donald L. Olsen EdD, PT, OCS
Inspired to help people achieve a healthy and active lifestyle, Donald Olsen began his advanced education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University.
He then achieved a Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University, followed by an M. Master of Science from Emory University and a Doctoral Degree in Education from United States Sports Academy.
A life-long learner, he has also acquired certification as an American Physical Therapy Association Board-certified Orthopedic Specialist and is Level 2 Certified in Balance and Vestibular.
He gathered extensive work experience in a variety of settings. He started his current practice in 1985 in Milwaukee Wisconsin (Northshore Physical Therapy) and in 1992 he opened a clinic in Sanibel Florida, both as private physical therapy practices.
He is also on the Faculty at the United States Sports Academy.
When he is not working, he enjoys volunteering with community activities and church work, participating in sports, especially running, biking and hiking, coaching with Team Speed, spending time with his family and dogs, giving talks about health in the community and travelling and teaching internationally.
Mary Beth Scalise PT
Mary Beth is a proud alumnus of Marquette University who has been actively practicing physical therapy for the past 28 years. Her expertise in balance and vestibular training has stemmed from her extensive work with high risk fall clients and victims of traumatic brain injury in both rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedic locations. In addition, her expertise and certification in neuro development training helps her in successfully treating neurological disorders, such as stroke and Parkinson's Disease. Mary Beth also successfully treats all other problematic areas a patient may encounter over time such as shoulder, back, and knee injuries etc. When she is not at FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers she enjoys time with her husband, Mike, and two boys, John and Luke. If you look closely, you may also see her cross-country skiing, biking, or enjoying custard around town. Mary Beth brings a new depth of knowledge to those we can assist at our clinics and we cannot be happier to have her as part of our team.
Ann John OTR
Occupational Therapist Ann John, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 1984, has almost 30 years of experience working in orthopedics, acute care, hand therapy, burns, home care, cardiac rehabilitation and subacute care.
She has acquired specialized training in workplace ergonomics, job site assessment, and hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder care. She also does Functional Capacity Testing for disability, as well as return to work ability training. Another of her specialties is splinting.
She also has certification in kinesiotaping and is currently working on certification in hand therapy and hippotherapy.
Ann, who joined the company in 1991, became an occupational therapist to enable people to regain their previous level of function in areas of self-care, leisure and work activities when it has been altered due to illness or injury.
When she is not working she enjoys participating in therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with disabilities and she also works in the training and adoption of Mustangs that were in the wild.
She sees patients in both the Thiensville and Cedarburg clinics.
Donna Skwierawski Business Administrator
Donna has been with FYZICAL since she graduated college! We are proud to have her as the leader of our team. She is a Mequon resident and when she is not busy helping with everything around the clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children.
Abbey Norris Client Care Coordinator/Clinical Aide
Abbey Norris received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She joined FYZICAL® in 2015. She can be found at the front desk acting as the Client Care Coodicator or as a rehabilitation aide in both the Cedarburg or Thiensville clinics.
Abbey just got married in July 2019! When she is not working she spends most of her time in the bleachers watching her husband coach high school football and her brothers playing for the Wisconsin Badgers. She also has an extremely spoiled Yorkie named Phoebe.
Many visitors to FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Northshore clinics get to know Karen Eggert, who handles all billing and insurance follow-up for all our clinics.
A veteran of the health insurance and billing industry since 1981, she has advanced training in medical terminology. She joined our firm in 2000.
When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family which includes two grandsons. She also enjoys reading and doing crafts including beading, sewing, and crocheting.
