New clinic director to lead Pelvic Health practice at Oakton physical therapy clinic
Oakton, VA — FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Oakton is pleased to announce that Mona Mistry PT, MPT, PRPC, will be joining the FYZICAL team as Clinic Director, leading the team of Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants. With over 10 years of experience, Mistry specializes in pelvic floor therapy, recently completing her Pelvic Rehabilitation and Practitioner Certification.
“I am very excited to join FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers Oakton and build a robust pelvic health practice for patients of all identities. During our new clinic construction, I have enjoyed overseeing key details like the private spaces needed for pelvic consultations. The demand for qualified pelvic health therapists is at an all-time high, and I am grateful for the chance to work with the Battas to bring this much-needed specialty to the Oakton community,” states Mistry.
Starting her career in the hospital system, Mistry spent time rotating between the cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic departments. She later transitioned to outpatient care treating both orthopedic and pelvic floor diagnoses. After moving to Atlanta to work for a facility that specialized in gynecological oncology, she worked with a team of pelvic floor therapists caring for patients who were undergoing gynecological cancer treatment including prostate, colorectal, and uterine cancers. Her experience also extends to specialties including endometrial excision and pelvic pain. Mistry received her Masters in Physcial Therapy from the University of Florida.
Founder Gaurave Batta noted, “We are very fortunate to have Mona join our clinic and bring her pelvic health expertise to FYZICAL Oakton. As both a Physical Therapist and Clinic Director, she will be instrumental in designing and implementing our pelvic health, balance, neurological and orthopedic therapies to meet the needs of our community.”
