What Is Physical Therapy?

Physical therapy, often referred to as PT, is a specialized healthcare field dedicated to enhancing and restoring functional mobility and quality of life. It employs a holistic approach to address a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions that affect an individual's ability to move and perform daily activities.

Our skilled and licensed physical therapists use evidence-based techniques to assess, diagnose, and treat physical impairments, promoting optimal physical function and independence. Through personalized exercise programs, manual therapy, and other therapeutic modalities, physical therapy aims to reduce pain, improve flexibility, strength, and balance, and enhance overall well-being.

What is Orthopedic Health?

Orthopedic health covers a variety of conditions, including arthritis, osteoporosis, spinal pain, fractures, sprains, strains and tears, work and sports injuries, and joint replacements, as well as congenital deformities.

Because our Physical Therapists treat orthopedic injuries, pelvic floor dysfunction, and balance & vestibular dysfunction, they are trained to treat your pain holistically.

We know, for example, that low back pain is highly correlated with pelvic floor dysfunction. Treating your back pain and ignoring the underlying causes can leave you vulnerable for a return of your pain. That is why at FYZICAL Oakton, we are with you every step of the way until we are sure you are at your optimal functioning.
