Lauren C. Peterson Owner/Doctor of Physical Therapist PT, DPT
Lauren grew up in a tight-knit Oklahoma family. She trained in Classical Ballet with several renowned, local instructors (including Kay Sandel and Lisa Webb). Lauren spent several summers training at the Pacific Northwest Ballet School, where she was introduced to Pilates. It was a great learning experience, as she was able to condition and rehabilitate injuries throughout her ballet career. Following an injury at the Harid Conservatory, Lauren moved with her family to Canada and trained for 2 years with the National Ballet School of Canada, where she was introduced to physical therapy. Lauren went on to complete her degree in Ballet Performance at Indiana University and danced professionally with Texas Dance Theatre. During her last season with TDT Lauren transitioned into the next stage of her career, as she entered Physical Therapy school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. While she was in school Lauren first had the opportunity to work with dancers providing the quality physical therapy that had been so important in her own career.
She has been teaching Pilates since 2008 and has been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2013. After having her first child, Lauren became interested in pelvic rehabilitation and women's health. She sought special education and training through the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Women's Health and the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.
After the birth of her second child, with a growing of her own, Lauren knew it was time to come back to Oklahoma to plant roots of her own. She is proud to be back in Oklahoma and excited to be able to share her specialized skills with the region

Sean P. Peterson Owner/GM PHD
Sean is an Oklahoma transplant, but the red dirt suits him well. Originally, from outside of Los Angeles, CA, Sean spent his college years at TCU down in Ft. Worth, TX. During his time in Ft. Worth, Sean spent 4 years as TCU's Mascot, SuperFrog! He also had the privilege of cycling across the United States to raise money for individuals with disabilities. That summer pushed him into a path of service.
After finishing at TCU, Sean went on to complete his PHD in Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He moved his young family to Sioux City, IA, where he was the first clinical director of the Pier Center for Autism. When Sean and Lauren began to consider a move to be closer to family, Oklahoma City was the perfect choice. Sean has been an active runner over the last few years and has twice completed the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. It is with Lauren's physical therapy support that that was possible, and he is pround to be able to share her skills with Oklahoma City as part of FYZICAL!
