Hybrid Telehealth Physical Therapy

What is the Physical Therapy Telehealth Hybrid Plan?

Our physical therapy Telehealth hybrid plan requires the patient to establish themselves as a patient of FYZICAL therapy and Balance Centers of Oklahoma City by coming in to the clinic for their initial evaluation. (What is Telehealth Physical Therapy?) if the patient and their physical therapist agree the Telehealth physical therapy is a viable option, the patient may be able to complete their plan of care via Telehealth session, or at least minimize the number of sessions required to be completed in the physical therapy clinic setting.

Our Physical Therapy Telehealth hybrid plan is useful in several common conditions for example

1. Patients who have established care with physical therapy and Balance Centers of Oklahoma City, but have difficulty with Transportation. We realize that transportation can be an issue for many reasons

    • Car Trouble
    • Distance
    • Reliance on Family or Caregivers

Because of the unique service that FYZICAL provides, many of our patients are referred from throughout the State of Oklahoma, including our rural communities. We understand the challenges involved with traveling multiple hours for a physical therapy visit, and we want to do our best to accommodate those patients. Our Physical Therapy Telehealth Hybrid Plan can get you the care you need without concerns over consistent transportation.

2. Patients who are immunocompromised. When a patient is immunocompromised, or has underlying health conditions, that make it difficult for them to be in public spaces we want to assure them that we are doing all that we can to maintain a healthy safe environment in a clinic setting. However, we understand that an increase in exposures may also mean and increase an illness. As such, our Physical Therapy Telehealth Hybrid Plan reduces the chances of exposure while improving your overall physical health.

3. Patients who are homebound. We are routinely asked by our physician partners about care for homebound patients. Because of our assessment with Computerized Dynamic Posturography, and the security and confidence our Safety Overhead System provides, we prefer to see our patients in the clinic setting. But we realize that some patients need to remain in the home, if we can get a quality initial evaluation in the clinic as part of our Physical Therapy Telehealth Hybrid Plan, we can serve our home bound patients successfully.

4. Patients who are traveling for business or pleasure.*

*When a patient is traveling outside of the state of Oklahoma, our ability to provide services may be impacted by the laws and Physical Therapy Practice Act of the travel destination. Telehealth Physical Therapy provided for patients traveling will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
