Meet our Physical Therapist

Dean Tahtinen (he is the one in the middle on the floor) is a 1989 graduate of Grand Valley State University. In his 33 plus years as a physical therapist he has developed an interest in holistic treatment. He has been known to say, "I have never had a sore right knee come into my clinic, it is always attached to a person and you have to treat the whole person if you want long term results." He believes in life long education with interests in vestibular rehabilitation, chronic pain, concussion/traumatic brain rehabilitation, Dolphin Micro Point stimulation, and functional rehabilitation. His unique observational skills often lead to treating a sore shoulder by releasing an abdominal scar. His view of the body as an interconnected system not a mechanical meat machine provides results where other therapists may have failed. His favorite patient is the person that has tried and failed before and is ready for a new approach. His biggest irritation is the thought that therapy has to hurt to be effective. His goal of every treatment is that you feel better leaving Fyzical Therapy then you did coming in to treatment.
