Kids Pelvic Health

When kids struggle with things like constipation, bedwetting, or accidents, it can be stressful for the whole family—but you’re not alone. Our Pediatric Pelvic Health Program is designed just for kids, in a friendly, judgment-free space where they can feel comfortable and supported while making real progress.

Bedwetting

“No shame, no blame—just support for kids and families. We help kids wake up dry, confident, and proud.

Constipation

Constipation is common—and it doesn’t have to control your child’s life.  Relief is possible! From bathroom struggles to everyday confidence—we’re here to help.

Accidents

Accidents don’t define your child—we’ll help them take back control.  From school-day stress to everyday success, we support kids through accidents with care, confidence,  and comfort.

Think of us as your child’s sidekicks—helping them build super-strength and confidence to tackle bathroom battles.

We Work Together

Pediatric pelvic health is a team effort—and your child is the star of the team! We work alongside families to turn tough challenges like accidents or tummy troubles into chances to celebrate progress. From high-fives for dry nights to big cheers for bathroom wins, we make every step feel positive and encouraging. With parents, kids, and therapists all working together, success feels less like “therapy” and more like teamwork. You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
The pediatric pelvic therapists at FYZICAL Rockrimmon identify and treat difficulties that interfere with your child’s ability to perform functional daily living skills and activities with their peers.

Treatment Approaches

No, there will not be any internal exams!

At FYZICAL Rockrimmon, our pediatric pelvic therapists are expertly trained in your kiddo's pelvic floor musculature and DO NOT need to perform internal exams in order to help.  Instead, you and your child will be taught how to train these muscles to perform as intended, using kid-friendly techniques and cutting edge tech.  Our therapists also recognize the sensitivity of this area of the body, going only at the pace at which your child is comfortable.  Our therapists look at the social, emotional, and sensory aspects of the pelvic floor challenges as well, to help children and teens manage these delicate issues from a whole-person perspective.

Dual Channel Bio Feedback

Biofeedback is a non-invasive technique that helps children learn to control their pelvic floor muscles, which are responsible for bladder and bowel function.  Believe it or not...we utilize video games! Small sticky sensors are placed on the hips, tummy, or buttocks to measure electrical activity of the pelvic floor muscles. These stickers can even be placed by mom or dad.  The computer then translates this data into visual and audio clues that can be seen and heard, training your child on what these muscles are and how to use them differently.  With practice, the child can then learn to use these muscles appropriately all the time.

We can help!

As many as 1 in 7 school-aged children will struggle with pelvic floor dysfunction presented as incontinence. Many of these children will go on to suffer with bladder and bowel management into adulthood if it isn’t properly treated. The cause of pediatric incontinence is often times related to lack of strength or coordination of the muscles that make up the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor dysfunction can also present as leaking urine or feces, constipation, changes in voiding frequency, or a combination of these symptoms.
