Greetings

Welcome to the June newsletter from FYZICAL Rockville.

CrossFit Style Strength and Conditioning

CrossFit style training is a high-intensity program that entails vigorous workouts that are intense, short, challenging, and constantly changing. There is a slightly elevated risk of injury for CrossFit athletes and enthusiasts, but learning proper conditioning and strength-training principles helps reduce this risk.

Swimming Reinforces Good Health

Swimming is a healthy, full-body exercise. Whether you swim for sport or recreational purposes, the risk of injury is low, apart from learning how to properly breathe and hold your breath while under the water. There is also a slight risk of repetitive movement injuries in the absence of proper stretching and conditioning.

LIFE AFTER PHYSICAL THERAPY

Thank you for all who came out to our June 2nd "Into to Wellness" event! More than half of the attendees signed-up to for our Fitness & Wellness program. We are already seeing them in our classes. Way to go!

If you missed the event or are still on fence about the program, let us know and one of our specialists would be happy to tell you more about the program. Through personalized exercise programs, these professionals can ensure that you are able to continue improving your health and well-being in a safe way.

After completing physical therapy, it is essential to continue exercising in order to maintain the progress made during treatment. This can help ensure that the injury or condition does not return and that you are able to stay as healthy as possible.  Our Fitness & Wellness program helps bridge the gap between physical therapy and overall fitness by providing guidance on how best to continue progress after treatment has ended, while maintaining access to your physical therapist.
