UPDATED PROTOCOL FOR ARRIVAL TO PHYSICAL THERAPY

(as of 5/18/2020)

We continue to work closely with public health authorities and would like to update you on the protocols we are taking to help keep our patients, our staff and our community safe. The following is our updated protocol for arrival to our clinic:

  • Please remain in your vehicles until your appointment time to limit the volume of persons inside our building. If you arrive early, consider calling the office (941-378-8977) to see if your treatment can be started earlier.
  • We are asking that you do not bring guests or family members with you to our office unless they are needed to drop you off or pick you up after your appointment. Please have them wait in the car or outside the medical office building.
  • Upon arrival, you will be asked to wash your hands or apply hand sanitizer, and we will take your temperature. If your temperature is above 99.6, we will ask you to reschedule. All employees also do this upon arrival to the office each day.
  • Measures will be taken to maintain social distancing guidelines in all our office areas.  Our clinic layout is such that, in most instances, we will be able to maintain appropriate social distancing and minimize your proximity to other patients throughout the course of your visit.
  • We are asking that you please wear a Face Mask or a cloth face-covering in our office as a precaution for those instances when social-distancing (>6ft) is not able to be kept. All employees will also be adhering to this guideline.
  • We continue to sterilize, sanitize, and disinfect all touchpoints in our office and clinic space throughout the day and all equipment and patient areas after every use and between all patients. As has always been the case, we are committed to the highest level of sterility and infection prevention.
  • Hand sanitizer stations and gloves are available (but we have limited supply) at multiple locations throughout the office.
  • Our staff will only be present if they and their households are healthy and symptom-free.
  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of fever, coughing, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, we ask that you contact your primary care physician for further advice. In the meantime, as a courtesy to your therapist, our clinic staff, and your fellow patients, please do not come into the clinic at this time. Instead, please contact us to reschedule your future appointments—even if it is last-minute—by calling 941-378-8977
  • If you have had a recent fever, please wait at least 72 hours after your fever breaks before returning to the clinic.
