Francis (Jeff) Pottenger PT, DPT, NRCME: Director/Practitioner
Jeff is the Director of FYZICAL South San Antonio. He is responsible for performing the initial patient evaluations, designing appropriate patient rehabilitation programs, performing progress evaluations, and ensuring that patients are making optimal progress.
Jeff has practiced physical therapy since 1984. He holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology (University of Hawaii), a master’s degree in Anthropology (University of Michigan), a master’s degree in Physical Therapy (Baylor University), and a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (Texas Tech University).
Jeff served 8 years in the United States Army as a physical therapist. He was an army master fitness trainer, served two years as the Commander of the Fitness Training Company at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and was the Chief of Physical Therapy at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Jeff left the army in 1992 to become the Director of South San Physical Therapy (SSPT), now FYZICAL South San Antonio, on the south side of San Antonio. He has been the sole owner of SSPT in 1994. He opened Stone Oak Physical Therapy, now FYZICAL North San Antonio in 2014 to serve the people living on the north side of San Antonio and surrounding communities.
While operating SSPT, Jeff established and directed the Saint Luke's HealthMaster Services occupational medicine physical therapy clinic. He also established and operated a clinic inside the Levi-Strauss finishing plant that was located in south west San Antonio.
Jeff is not just an occupational medicine physical therapist. He has worked with youth, high school, NCAA, recreational, and military athletes. He has significant experience working with youth and adult patients having neck, back, shoulder, hip, and extremity problems. He has worked extensively with acute care, pre- and post-surgical care, and chronic pain patients.
He is certified to perform Spinoscope® back function testing and WorkSteps® and WorkSaver® function testing. He performs Department of Transportation physicals as a nationally registered Medical Examiner. He performs post-offer employment testing for numerous large oil and gas related companies.
Charles Harrell BA: Business Administrator
Charles is in charge of the administrative operations of both FYZICAL South San Antonio and our affiliate FYZICAL North San Antonio.
Charles has 17 years’ experience as the business administrator. He has a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Texas.
Manpreet Sheabat, PT, DPT, CLT Physical Therapist
Manpreet Sheabat is a Physical therapist currently based in San Antonio, Texas. After earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Arcadia University, Glenside, Pennsylvania in 2015, she entered the Clinical Physical therapy field, before that she has worked for 3 years as Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh School of health and rehabilitation sciences alongside with Pioneers of Physical Therapy research field in the USA. She has spent the last 5 years exploring the US healthcare systems for various states i.e Pennsylvania, Maryland, Alaska, Ohio, California and Texas. She has held positions such as Clinical physical therapist to a Lead Physical Therapist in various setups such as acute care rehabilitation, Long-term care set up, Outpatient, urgent care, nursing home, schools and home health setups. Her passion is for an overlooked field of physical therapy such as Lymphedema therapy and vestibular rehabilitation derived her to advanced her career by taking a step to get Lymphedema certification in 2015 and advanced training in vestibular rehab. She is interested in working in clinical and research area in an undeserved area of San Antonio.
Lois Pottenger Client Care Specialist
Lois is the receptionist for FYZICAL North San Antonio. She is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, greeting our clients, and taking care of registration and clerical tasks. She is the "answer lady" for questions regarding scheduling, our services, and the insurances that we accept. She also helps with patient care as an aide.
Lois has a bachelor’s degree in Zoology from the University of Hawaii. Being from Hawaii, Lois has an Aloha smile for everyone. She brings 15 years of clinical, administrative, business, and problem solving experience to the front desk.
Jeff Chandler Fysician Liaisson
Jeff is knowledgeable abouth the San Antonio Medical Community. His smiling face will be seen around the community. He is the person who will aid in the communication between the clinic's staff and doctor's staff. His goal is to make sure we take care of our patient-doctor-clinic relationships.

Alma is one of the cheery voices you hear when you call us. She will help you with any questions you have and schedule your visits. She also helps entering charges. She loves to keep our statistics. She is a math nut.
She has an A. A. S. Business Administration with honors. She is currently completin a B.S. in information technology.

Dorothy Mathis B.S., M.A.: Fyzician Liaison
With clinical mid-management experience, Dorothy is the link between referring practices and the clinic. She visits doctors, nurses and coordinators developing relationships and keeping them informed of the different programs that FYZICAL offers.
Dorothy holds a B.S. in Community Health and a M.A. in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies with teacher certifications.
