|Francis (Jeff) Pottenger, PT, DPT: Director/Practitioner
Jeff is the Director of FYZICAL South San Antonio. He is responsible for performing the initial patient evaluations, designing appropriate patient rehabilitation programs, performing progress evaluations, and ensuring that patients are making optimal progress.
Jeff has practiced physical therapy since 1984. He holds a bachelorette degree in Anthropology (University of Hawaii), a master’s degree in Anthropology (University of Michigan), a master’s degree in Physical Therapy (Baylor University), and a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (Texas Tech University).
Jeff served 8 years in the United States Army as a physical therapist. He was an army master fitness trainer, served two years as the Commander of the Fitness Training Company at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and was the Chief of Physical Therapy at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Jeff left the army in 1992 to become the Director of South San Physical Therapy (SSPT), now FYZICAL South San Antonio, on the south side of San Antonio. He has been the sole owner of SSPT in 1994. He opened Stone Oak Physical Therapy, now FYZICAL North San Antonio in 2014 to serve the people living on the north side of San Antonio and surrounding communities.
Jeff is not just an occupational medicine physical therapist. He has worked with youth, high school, NCAA, recreational, and military athletes. He has significant experience working with youth and adult patients having neck, back, shoulder, hip, and extremity problems. He has worked extensively with acute care, pre- and post-surgical care, and chronic pain patients.
He is certified to perform Spinoscope® back function testing and WorkSteps® and WorkSaver® function testing. He performs Department of Transportation physicals as a nationally registered Medical Examiner. He performs post-offer employment testing for numerous large oil and gas related companies.
|Lois Pottenger, BA: Receptionist/Aide
Lois is the receptionist for FYZICAL North San Antonio. She is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, greeting our clients, and taking care of registration and clerical tasks. She is the "answer lady" for questions regarding scheduling, our services, and the insurances that we accept. She also helps with patient care as an aide.

Charles is in charge of the administrative operations of both FYZICAL South San Antonio and our affiliate FYZICAL North San Antonio.

Krystal Hawkins: Aide/Client Care Specialist
Krystal has an associate of arts degree from Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Texas. She is a licensed massage therapist. She brings a lot of enthusiasm, a cheerful personality and a large friendly smile to the clinic each day.
Dorothy Mathis, B.S., M.A.: Fyzician Liaison
With clinical mid-management experience, Dorothy is the link between referring practices and the clinic. She visits doctors, nurses and coordinators developing relationships and keeping them informed of the different programs that FYZICAL offers.
Dorothy holds a B.S. in Community Health and a M.A. in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies with teacher certifications.
