Meet Our Team!

Elizabeth Ibarra, PT, DPT

Elizabeth is originally from East Texas and goes by "Eliza." She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The University of Texas at Tyler in 2016 and went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Texas Woman’s University in Dallas in 2019. As an entry level clinician, she had the opportunity to launch her career in the setting of neurological rehabilitation, specializing in brain injuries (including CVA, TBI, tumors, encephalitis, post-COVID, anoxic brain injuries, concussions, and vestibular dysfunction), and treated patients of different levels of complexity across the continuum of care (from inpatient/residential to outpatient/Day Neuro). She developed a strong passion for the neuro population who she served for nearly three years. Her interests expand to those with vestibular dysfunction, balance impairments, and general orthopedics. Eliza finds value in continuing education and is always seeking opportunities to sharpen her clinical skills to provide quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care to her patients. She is currently working on her Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS) certification, and she is interested in pursuing her LSVT BIG certification to expand her treatment specialization.

Through the years, Eliza has developed a deep passion for general health, placing strong value on overall quality of life. She is often seeking opportunities to educate people on the importance of moving through their lifespan to prevent or delay the progression of disease. She is a health and wellness advocate and strives to lead by example. Although her interests and training focus change periodically, you will find her moving year-round. She enjoys the outdoors and has engaged in various forms of exercise including non-contact boxing, CrossFit, general weight lifting, distance running, and hiking in her spare time. Her motto: “If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.” She strives to motivate, empower, and restore hope in her patients to help ignite their desire to take control of their health and live life to their fullest potential. She does this by providing an individualized, whole-body approach to health, wellness, fitness, and rehabilitation.

Come meet Eliza at FYZICAL and let her join you in your journey to “Love Your Life!”

Christy Troegle, PT, MS, NCS, CBIS

Christy Troegle is a Board Certified Neurological Clinical Specialist, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, and LSVT BIG Certified Clinician with over 18 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.  Originally from Dallas, TX, Christy graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University in 2002 and from Physical Therapy School at Texas Women’s University in Dallas in 2004.

Over the course of her career, Christy has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including Inpatient rehabilitation, Day Neuro rehabilitation, home treatment and Outpatient rehabilitation.  Her passion and the focus of her career for almost 10+ years has been the outpatient neurological setting.  In this setting, Christy regularly worked with patient conditions, including Stroke, Brain Injury, Brain Tumors, Incomplete and Complete Spinal Cord injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, movement disorders, complex neurological and neuromuscular disorders, and vestibular disorders.  She also worked regularly with patients suffering from general debility, and post-surgery of the spine or lower extremities.  Finally, Christy has multiple years of experience and a passion for treatment of the amputee population.  Working in this type of outpatient setting and treating complex patient needs has been a blessing for Christy.  She loves the challenges it presents and is inspired daily by her patients and what she and her patients can accomplish together.  Christy enjoys being able to connect with her patients and work together with them to achieve their personal goals while priding herself on providing top notch skilled, evidence-based, specialized, and individualized care.

Christy is also enthusiastic about helping her patients, their families, medical providers, and the community find the right therapy program best suited to meet their clinical and personal needs. There are numerous therapy specialties available to patients, and finding the right specialty for a specific medical need or personal goal can often be a challenging and frustrating task for patients and their families.  Christy has previously worked as both a Patient Navigator and Clinical Liaison for a Physical Rehabilitation system where she worked with patients and their families, the community and referral sources to find the therapy program best suited to meet their therapy needs.  In addition to providing Physical Therapy services in this clinic, Christy is also the Physician Liaison for FYZICAL in Frisco where she serves to help educate medical professionals, referral sources, patients, family members and the local community about the highly skilled Physical Therapy Services we have to offer at our clinic.  She loves that this part of her job allows her to talk about Physical Therapy and to brag about the amazing Physical Therapy services and specialties that we offer at this clinic.

When not at work, Christy and her husband enjoy traveling, watching sports and being involved with the extra-curricular activities of their 3 children.  She is an avid Texas A&M and Dallas Cowboys fan and loves animals, especially dogs.  She hopes to one day raise and train a therapy dog that she can bring to work with her and use for volunteer service in the community.
