Rex Holden MSPT, Owner
Rex graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1993 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. He has a Bachelor degree from Central Michigan University in Health Promotion in a Corporate and Hospital Setting and taught in the anatomy labs at CMU for three years.
He has worked with physical therapy patients from 2 to 104 years old. He has also worked with college level and professional athletes in baseball, skiing, basketball, football and many other sports. Rex has taken numerous continuing education courses in unloading or unweighting (one of the main features of FAST Physical Therapy), functional biomechanics, sports rehabilitation, spine rehabilitation, speed and jump training, balance, geriatric rehabilitation, muscle energy techniques, Norwegian manual therapy techniques, and medical exercise training.
Rex enjoys spending time hiking, mountain biking and skiing with his two daughters, Brianna and Calista, and his wife Jill. He also enjoys ski racing at Crystal Mountain and has raced in several of the local Ice Man Cometh mountain bike races. His passion continues to be to help as many people as possible improve the quality of their lives through an active lifestyle and healthy eating.
Jill Holden, MSPT, Owner
Jill Holden received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 1993 and also graduated from Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
Her areas of specialization include spinal stabilization training, manual spinal rehab, functional training and geriatric rehabilitation. Jill enjoys developing individualized programs for each person she sees in the clinic.
Jill worked for Munson for 11 years doing home care physical therapy. Now she enjoys providing home visits for FYZICAL patients who are unable to come to the clinic. She is able to improve people's quality of life where they are having the most difficulty--in their homes.
Jill enjoys Irish dancing, hiking, biking, and downhill skiing with her husband and two daughters. She is also dedicated to the continued development of The Greenspire School, Traverse City's independent Montessori Middle School.
Brandon Roberts PT, DPT
Brandon graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2017 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science at Central Michigan University in 2014. He recently moved to Traverse City and is excited to start his career as a PT at Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center.
His areas of interest include sports rehabilitation, manual spinal rehabilitation, and vestibular rehabilitation. He enjoys working together with patients of all ages to meet their personal health goals and reaching their full potential in all aspects of their lives.
Brandon is a native of Rockford, MI and enjoys watching sports, hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing during his days off. Hence, why he moved to Northern Michigan!
Amy Anderson, MSPT
Amy earned Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University in 1999. She most recently spent 10 years at the Traverse City's former Fitness Center.
She has extensive experience treating orthopedic and vestibular injuries as well as women's health issues. "Movement as an integral part of my life! I am proud to be in a profession known to be experts in musculoskeletal problems. The American Physical Therapy Association describes physical therapy as 'the science of healing and the art of caring.' I genuinely enjoy spending time with people and sharing my knowledge. I educate patients on how to move more easily to protect their body and prevent problems in the future. We live in a beautiful area and I love helping people get out and enjoy it. Our bodies are amazing machines and therapy can help restore a person's function to the highest level possible."
Amy joined FYZICAL Traverse City in December 2009. Amy is a native of Traverse City and is a graduate of St. Francis High School. She and her husband Bruce have three children and enjoy camping, hiking, skiing and anything else that gets them outside.
Beth Dole, ATC
Beth has over 26 years experience working in the health and fitness industry, including work in sports medicine and cardiac rehabilitation. She has worked with professional, college, and high school athletes as a certified athletic trainer.
With the combination of Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training, Beth helps young and old return to physical activity in a safe, healthy and timely manner.
When you meet Beth you will see clearly that she is a health enthusiast who is passionate about helping people to feel and perform their best!

Amy Phillips, PTA
Amy graduated from Delta College in 2015 with an Associates in Applied Science degree from the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Amy has recently moved from Saginaw to Beulah and is very excited to start her career as a PTA in Traverse City at FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center.
Mitch Tallent, PTA
Mitch Tallent is a PTA who earned his Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Finlandia University in 2008.
Mitch is originally from Dallas, Texas. He came to MI through a love of hockey and played Junior Hockey in the Grand Rapids Junior Hockey League.
His passions include a love for all outdoor activities but especially hockey, snowmobile, golf. Good thing he moved to Michigan as there isn't much snowmobiling in Texas.
David Rapson, PT

Area of expertise is musculoskeletal orthopedic injuries with extensive work with athletes at all levels. Practiced in TC for 26 years, 9 with Munson Medical Center and 17 years as owner of Northwoods Physical Therapy
Dave and his wife Ellen live on Silver Lake and have 3 grown children. When not working, David can be found refereeing youth and high school soccer games, watching and following sports at all levels, especially the Michigan State Spartans. Hobbies include boating on Silver Lake, golf, traveling, and spending time with the kids. David is on the board of directors of Safe Harbor of Grand Traverse and volunteer with issues related to homelessness.

Brent is an avid hunter and bird dog trainer and loves spending his time outdoors when not treating patients.
Julie Opsasnick, PT Aid
PT Aid Julie is the friendly face who helps clients with their exercises, or can be found assisting at the front desk. She is also a top notch artist.
Emily Weber, ATC
Emily graduated from CMU with a degree in Sports Medicine and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as an Athletic Trainer. She is from Kingsley.

Tina comes to us from the Netherlands where she earned her Masters in Physical Therapy.
