Vestibular & Balance System Diagnostics

At FYZICAL®, we take a scientific approach to helping your patients repair, rejuvenate and rejoice! We offer high level diagnostics to assist in the evaluation and treatment of your patients. These diagnostics allow our therapists to treat the underlying causes of your patients complications.

Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP)

Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) is a tool that allows the clinical team to identify the cause of a balance or dizziness problem. CDP is like an MRI of the balance system. It evaluates the three segments of the balance system; Visual, Vestibular and Somatosensory to help determine best course of treatment.

The CDP evaluation can help with conditions such as:

Dizziness

Balance Problems

Motion Sensitivity

Post-Concussion or Head Injury

Weight Bearing Problems

Irregularities Walking or Running

Infrared Video Oculography

The Infrared Video Oculography Evaluation allows our therapy team to precisely identify, and treat difficult cases of dizziness and vertigo. Dizziness accounts for about 5 to 6% of physician visits. It may occur at any age but becomes more common with increasing age; it affects about 40% of people over age 40 at some time. Dizziness may be temporary or chronic. Chronic dizziness, defined as lasting > 1 month, is more common among older people.1

The IVOG evaluation assists in the treatment of conditions such as:

Vertigo and Dizziness

Vestibular Dysfunctions

Headaches/Migraines

Neurological Disorders

Vestibular Neuritis/Labyrinthitis

Otolithic (Tilt Sensor) Dysfunction
