The Science Behind Laser Therapy
Photobiomodulation or “PBM Laser” was discovered in Europe for tissue healing more than 50 years ago, with ongoing research through the past decade. Recently it’s been shown that using “Dual Frequency” or 2 laser beams simultaneously helps tissues heal in miraculous ways – in particular in reducing pain, based on more than 4000 research studies. Great data shows that it works best on trigger points in muscle and fascia to reduce tenderness and relax contracted muscle fibers. Fascia is like SaranWrap that envelops all the muscles and tissues in the body. With muscle and fascia covering a majority of the body, we specifically target these trigger points as a focus of our PBM Laser therapy. PBM Laser triggers changes in human cells similar to photosynthesis in plants to increase energy carrying capacity in the cells. More energy leads to improved healing.
