Stretch Your Way to Better Health

Stretching is an integral part of staying healthy. Some people stretch before vigorous exercise, and others stretch to regain flexibility and strength following an injury.

Learning how to stretch properly also helps avoid recurring or new injuries. Physical therapy is a vital resource when guidance is needed for proper stretching technique.

SCAR THERAPY

SCARS can accumulate throughout our lives.

What we do not realize is how they impact our bodies in many negative ways. The Center for Pain & Stress Research has developed a patented new Scar Release Therapy (SRT) that is a safe, clinically tested and proven way to treat scar tissue. Scar tissue release therapy is safe and doesn’t hurt. It has been found to be highly effect in reducing the negative influences of scars.

Scars and the related adhesions often compress nerves, affect muscle function, change energy flow, and affect blood and lymph flow through the affected area, causing restrictions that not only affect joints but also affect the underlying organs. Since the body’s fascial system is interconnected, a restriction or adhesion in one area will often affect other body parts, causing compensatory patterns and pain. Study Facts: 40% of C-Section patients experienced Chronic Back Pain and 20% of C-Section patients experienced Shoulder/Neck Pain.

Fortunately, MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation), the method used to treat scars, is especially effective in reducing the restrictions caused by scar tissue.

How does it work? Scar tissue release therapy uses a device, the Dolphin Neurostim (Dolphin MPS), to address both chronic pain and dermal scarring after any trauma or surgery. It can help many years post scarring. A safe low level electrical (microcurrent) impulse is applied to each side of the Physical scar which helps to relax and fade scar tissue. Most importantly, it has been proven to deliver 73.2% pain relief after a single application. (IJCAM 2017)

Scars that we often treat include those from breast augmentation or reduction, mastectomy, C-section, removal of deep moles or skin lesions, facelifts, tummy tucks, trauma scars, or any scars from surgeries (think Total Knee and Total Hip).
