Meet our Physical Therapists & Support Team

Kim Horton, PT

Physical Therapist

Kim has spent her 28-year career as an outpatient orthopedic therapist. She has worked in both hospital and private practice settings in New York and Northern Virginia. Throughout her years of practice, she noticed a trend among PT practices towards high volume, non-individualized care. Kim believed that patients deserved more, and in 2013, opened Restore PT & Wellness as a way to deliver an enhanced level of healthcare that focused on the individual needs of her patients and not just the injury itself.

As a manual therapist, Kim employs an approach that utilizes skilled, hands-on techniques to assess and correct dysfunction.  Her passion for her craft leads her to pursue continuing education in the fields, including muscle energy, myofascial release, the Maitland approach, and weight training.  Kim treats a wide range of chronic pain issues as well as being an Ehlers-Danlos literate therapist.

Kim is married and has 2 wonderful children. She greatly enjoys cooking and working out with kettlebells.

Rachel Gorman, PT, DPT

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Rachel attended Lebanon Valley College in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and Spanish. A few years later, she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. While in school, Rachel was a Division III field hockey player and continues to play when she can. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain, where she lived with a host family and attended the local university to learn the Spanish language and culture.

Rachel is passionate about treating vestibular and balance disorders. She enjoys helping people stay as independent as possible by improving their balance and preventing falls. Balance therapy differs from traditional physical therapy in its unique approach. You can have fun with it by getting creative with exercises to challenge patients’ different balance systems.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is originally from the suburbs of Philadelphia and returns home to see her family whenever possible. She also enjoys exploring new places and finding new things to do in the surrounding areas.
