To realize this vision, we shall:

  • Consistently work on continuing eduation, teaching and growing as teachers and providers of care
  • Develop a therapy program and plan of care that is specifically designed to suit your individual needs

  • Work with you and your physician as a team to provide the best care for our clients

Our Therapy Team

Our physical therapists are committed to advanced academic and clinical education and training. Most have specialist certifications and years of experience teaching, mentoring and providing hands-on care. Usually, at any given time, we have at least one phyiscal therapist on staff who is in an advanced fellowship program and undergoing intensive clinical and didactic training. We value flexibility and innovation. We are passionate about what we do, and it shows!

Our Location and Building

We are conveniently located just off highway 580 on Grand Avenue near the Oakland/ Piedmont border. Our office occupies almost all of the space of what was once a house on Grand Avenue, now with a front addition and converted into an office building, we suspect sometime in the 1970's. Clients are seen on 2 separate floors. There is no elevator. There are 17 stairs up from the first floor to the second floor. There is a level entrance in to the first floor from the street, and a relatively level entrance in to the second floor from the parking lot (see "Parking" below).

As we have grown as a business, we have taken on more space in our building, we have opened up space as best we can to enhance flow and open gym areas. We have 8 private treatment rooms and 2 gym spaces. You will see some period architectural features here and there, like what we think was the original built-in hutch in the dining room (now storage in a treatment room), as well as 4-walls-and-ceiling decorative paneling in what was likely originaly the library or study. This does contribute to our overall warm and friendly environment.

Parking

We have spaces for 5 cars in our own lot behind our building. Our driveway is to the right of the building as you look directly at it from Grand Avenue. There is a level (gently downward sloping) entrance in to our office on the second floor from the parking lot (blue door). We prefer to reserve the parking behind our building for those who have mobility impariments and are unable to manage stairs. Parking on Grand Avenue is metered, on side streets in the first block away generally 2 hours, and in other areas it is free. Please ALWAYS check signage.
