“ I was prescribed physical therapy by my Neurologist in Feb. 2022, due to a diagnosis of Vertigo, Dizziness, Ataxia, and Imbalance. At that time I didn't have any confidence in my ability to walk without tripping and falling outside or inside of my home,. The dizziness and all the fear of falling made me very sad and depressed. I began therapy 2x weekly at Fyzical Therapy and Balance, Lake Success. The Staff, Doctors and Physical Therapists guided me through various exercise machines; A) focusing with specific eye movements while balancing on a movable floor, B) treadmill while watching videos requiring correct foot placement and leg and arm movement to create a stable walking pattern, C) balancing on a movable floor (each leg - with concentration on the knee, foot and ankle - moving independently) while participating in a video (skiing for example), D) balancing on a moving floor (both feet moving in the same direction) to avoid falling, E) riding a stationary bicycle for leg, hip and arm strength. The sessions last about one hour, and they are really a workout. I was wearing a protective harness so I couldn't fall, throughout the exercises. It was difficult and scary and as I improved, each test became a bit. more difficult. It didn't take many sessions before I began feeling more confident in my ability to walk normally. These treatments are very challenging but the Therapists were with me every second of every exercise, directing, correcting, assuring and encouraging me from beginning to end. Dr. Pensavalle also preformed vertigo treatments to move the displaced particles (which cause Vertigo) in my inner ear back to their normal/correct position. I am gaining so much confidence and self assurance from the encouragement, instruction, understanding, patience, and caring I am constantly given by everyone involved in my care at this practice. I am sharing this information and recommendation regarding my exceptional experience at Fyzical Therapy and Balance, with all of my Doctors so that they can direct patients with problems similar to my diagnosis, to this exceptional Practice. “ I'm not a patient but I was with Dr. Atillio Pennsavalle at his clinic the other day and he has one of the finest balance and vestibular clinics I have ever been in - and I've been in a LOT of them! Dr. Atillio has the experience, the equipment, the team and, most importantly, he has the caring heart to WANT to help people. The other photo I uploaded is me and Dr. Attilio at the fire station where he serves when he's not working 60 hours per week helping the people of Lake Success recover from their vertigo and vestibular problems. “ 5 stars for Fyzical Therapy and Balance Center of Lake Success!! After consulting with four different doctors and undergoing weeks of testing for dizziness we were left frustrated and hopeless. After one session Dr. Pensavalle was able to diagnose my mother’s (Linda F.) vertigo. After a few months of treatment she is cured and able to go back to her life without dizziness and balance issues. He and his staff offer professional, personalized one-on-one treatment. The facility is bright and pleasant just like the staff! They are all extremely knowledgeable, caring, patient and helpful. Meredith is also the nicest person you will every talk to on the phone! We highly recommend to all! ”

“ Dr. Pensavale and his team helped me walk again after struggling with walkers, canes and a scooter for two years in the wake of cancer treatment and vestibular damage. I made amazing progress thanks to their dedication and knowledge. In addition to strength training, they also offer vestibular equipment that I haven’t seen in any PT offices. There is a machine that measures progress throughout vestibular treatment. The office staff is very efficient and friendly for billing and scheduling. “ Dr. Pensavalle and his team are extraordinary. I recently developed off the chart dizziness/balance/equilibrium problems and was referred to the doctor by the ENT doctor I had seen. Top down, bottom up, everyone does their jobs to perfection. Andy, Joel, Luis, Shayna, and Keryann guide me through the routines on each of the machines. Some of those routines are quite challenging, but they each aim to keep me on track, and optimistic, even when this over achiever gets a bit hard on herself. Add to that two fantastic front desk ladies, Lisa and Meredith, and you know you are in good hands. If you have similar issues, you could not do better than this office. ”

The front office staff is friendly and accommodating - very rare in medical offices these days. The physical therapy aides are kind and patient. “ About 1 year ago, my wife was diagnosed by a neurologist that. She had severe vertigo and she was laid up for 8 to 10 hours every other day. She was given the name of physical therapiest. And we had called, and we had chosen a cheaper physical therapist that was probably one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made after 1 month the Physical therapist did absolutely nothing she was still in bad shape. We then went to Fyzical and talk to them. And they told us that it wasn't going to happen overnight, but they can help her after. About one month she started to feel a little better. It wasn't all perfect, but she was getting on her way. Getting better, it has now been 4 and a 1/2 months. And my wife has her life back again. They were amazing, and they cared so much about her whenever she was having a little. Bit of issues they were right there and not only did they do the physical, helping but also they reassured her. That everything would be all right if I ever had to go to a place or recommend a place for this type of physical therapy, it would be Fyzical they are. Top-notch in my book. ”
