Pediatric Sports Injury

Children are often prone to injuries, especially sports-related injuries. Due to their changing bodies during growth, children are at risk of overuse injuries due to their lack of complex motor skills that develop after puberty. Although there are benefits of athletic activity, too much can lead to injury.

Common overuse injuries include:

  • Sever’s Disease, pain in the heel from repetitive jumping and running
  • Osgood-Schlatter Disease, pain in the front of the knee that usually occurs after a rapid growth spurt
  • Throwing injuries
  • Stress fractures
  • Strains and sprains

At Fyzical, your child will be working with a team of skilled and experienced therapists who are passionate about getting your child back to their sport! Our team knows sports injuries and how to meet the special needs of your children. Many of our staff were also young athletes once too and understand how important it is to your child that they return to their sport at full capacity, if not better! At Fyzical, we believe in a team dynamic full of collaboration and are open to working with you and your child to meet all their needs in a fun and open environment.
