Do I need a referral or prescription to come to physical therapy?
In Texas, you no longer need a referral/prescription to come to physical therapy. You can come for 10 consecutive days. You will need to fill out a disclosure form that states the physical therapy diagnosis is not based on imaging findings - we have these forms for you!
All Medicare patients require a referral/prescription for therapy services. (Referrals/prescriptions are valid for 30 days following the date of the script).
Should we need a referral/prescription, our Client Care Specialists can coordinate with your provider to get one.
What if my referral/prescription is for Memorial Hermann or Methodist or any other Outpatient clinic? Do I need a new one to be able to come here?
No, you do not need a new referral/prescription to see us! We accept any referral/prescription for physical therapy!
