What is a Computerized Dynamic Posturography (CDP) Sensory Organization Test?

The Computerized Dynamic Posturography Sensory Organization Test (CDP-SOT) is a specialized assessment used to evaluate balance and identify sensory and motor control issues that may contribute to balance disorders.

How long does a posturography test take?

The posturography test is simple, quick, and non-invasive—no wires, gels, or cameras are involved. You'll step onto a platform, wear a safety harness, and perform a series of standing tasks. The entire "Equitest" procedure typically takes around 20 minutes.

What is posturography used for?

Posturography is used to objectively measure a person’s balance. It assesses how well you maintain stability under different conditions—such as standing on a stable or moving platform, with eyes open or closed, or when visual surroundings shift. These tests help pinpoint the specific systems involved in maintaining balance.
