Makayla Palmer, PT, DPT
Makayla graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December of 2020 from the University of South Carolina. While attending USC, Makayla had the opportunity to receive her clinical education from some of the top outpatient physical therapy clinics in the Southeast: Vertex PT Specialists in Columbia, SC and Refine PT and Performance in Daphne, AL. She enjoys combining her athletic and physical therapy background to promote health and wellness in the geriatric population and hopes to become a Geriatric Certified Specialist (GCS) within the next few years! Makayla enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, exploring the outdoors, finding the best Italian restaurants, and traveling with her husband!
Shelby Papac, LPTA
Shelby graduated from The University of South Alabama with honors in Recreational Therapy, and then continued her education by completing the PTA Program at Wallace Community College. She has been with Fyzical-Dothan for 1 year. She enjoys working with people of all ages and disabilities, especially geriatric patients. She has also personally experienced vertigo, and knows first-hand how troubling it can be - This is why she has a special interest in helping patients overcome vertigo and dizziness! In her spare time, Shelby loves spending time with her fur babies and traveling!
Elysia York, CPC, CPB, CGSC
Elysia obtained her Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Professional Biller (CPB), and Certified Professional General Surgery Coder (CGSC) certifications from the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has been in the medical coding/billing industry for 8 years, and has a specific interest in Auditing and Compliance. Elysia has been married to her husband, Robert, for 9 years and they have 2 children - Reid & Emery. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with them, photography, and listening to True Crime podcasts!
Client Care Specialist / PT Tech
Brandi graduated from Dothan High School in 2020, and has been attending Wallace Community College since then. She is currently taking basic courses, and hopes to apply for the PTA Program next year. In her spare time, Brandi loves playing tennis, volunteering, and spending time at the lake.
