Welcome to FYZICAL Chicago

Hello! We are FYZICAL Chicago, and these are our FYZICAL mascots, Ardins and Finley.  It's amazing what petting a dog can do for you!  Over the years, we have taken pride in creating a friendly, personalized yet progressive environment for maximizing a patient's function. We are proud of our past and look forward to an even brighter future. FYZICAL has continued to expand its offerings using state-of-the-art technologies and the services of dedicated Physical Therapists.

We were founded in 1983 by Daniel J. O'Connor, P.T. Since that time we have continued to strive to provide the highest quality and most efficient plan of care. Our patient's receive individualized treatment through a "one-on-one" program with one of our highly trained and experienced physical therapist.

In August of 2014, we joined with a larger organization, FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers, to allow us to treat our patients in the manner for which we have become known. We have incorporated a balance center into our programs to address problems with falls.  Our Aquatics Center has become a focal point for rehabilitation.  We include the patient in their recovery process, as personal goals, concerns and needs are incorporated into their program. Working with the same therapist and never left alone during a session maximizes the patient's recovery. Rehabilitation does not stop at the end of formal treatment. The patient is educated in a customized, comprehensive, computer-generated home exercise program with progressions. Dedicated teamwork between therapist and patient leads to success.

FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Centers - Chicago, formerly Sportho, offers unique programs and state of the art equipment to expedite safe, complete and rapid restoration following an injury or degenerative condition. Our Aquatic Physical Therapy program allows for a more rapid progression of flexibility and strengthening through the buoyancy and resistive properties of water.

The not-commonly-found Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) performed by specifically trained therapists more efficiently addresses inflammatory conditions including tendinitis and fibrosis. Our Work Conditioning rounds out the many services provided.
