PT APPROVED FITNESS

This class focuses on what movements are important for life's activities. Bending at the waist, squatting, lunging, picking objects off the floor, moving to the floor and getting off the floor, and standing balance are essential for daily living. Practicing, modifying, and progressing these activities help make these movements smoother in preparation for performing them out in the world. If you are interested in how to move better, why these movements are important, and how to adapt them to suit your individual needs, this is the class for you.

ALL LEVELS YOGA

This class strives to be inclusive for participants with a variety of abilities. Yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation are the focus of every class with emphasis on injury prevention, joint alignment, and appropriate progression/modification. We foster a non-judgmental/non-comparative environment so that all participants feel welcome and successful. 

Teacher: Zach Wilson, Physical Therapy Assistant and certified yoga teacher

When: Wednesdays evenings 5:30 - 6:30 PM

CHAIR YOGA

This class strives to be inclusive for participants with a variety of abilities. If mobility, balance, or confidence restrictions are a barrier for movement, a chair is an excellent tool to support therapeutic activity. Whether you use a chair for some or all activities, this class emphasizes yoga postures, breathing exercises, relaxation, and meditation with emphasis on injury prevention, joint alignment, and appropriate progression/modification. We foster a non-judgmental/non-comparative environment so that participants feel welcome and successful.

When:  Thursday mornings 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Cost: $10 per class
