How do I get an appointment?

Call us at 830.249.7211 and we will make an appointment for you.

Do I need an appointment or can I just come in?

Please call for an appointment in all cases. We can sometimes see you the same day you call. This allows us to inform the therapist and schedule you at a time we can devote our full attention to your care.

Do I have to have a doctor’s referral to come see you?

Yes and no. In the state of Texas a Physical Therapist can see you for the evaluation and ten days of treatment without a referral. If you need any type of treatment or rehabilitation services after that we will need the referral from your Physician. There are insurances now that allow you to come to Physical Therapy without a referral. Even though we now have this approval in the state of Texas, some insurances are not approving care without a referral.  You can call your insurance carrier to confirm this or we will do that when you call for your first appointment. However, if you have been injured at your place of work or if you have been in an accident, you should notify your personal physician, perhaps go to see him, and gain a referral form first. If you have any questions about what you may need, call us and we can help direct you to appropriate sources.

If you want to have an evaluation on your Golf or fitness program we can do that without a referral.

If you wish to see us for a fitness evaluation or to enroll in one of our Golf, wellness or fitness classes, please call us and we will schedule an initial 15-minute free of charge assessment.

How do I know if my insurance will cover your services?

When you call to set up your first appointment our front office manager will ask for your insurance information and call to check on your benefits. We will give you an idea of what they will cover and also your portion of responsibility on your deductible or co-pay.  Always make sure you know your benefits for physical therapy because you are responsible for your payments for physical therapy services.  Also we do bill to your secondary insurance for you but you should know your benefits in this area as well.  We file all insurances but you are responsible for your copays, deductible payments at time of service.  We can make payment arrangements if needed, please talk to our billing specialist, Christine.

What documents do I need to bring with me when I come for my first appointment?

Please bring your insurance card, drivers license or photo ID, and the referral from your physician. Complete full medical history questionaire from this website OR as of 10/01/2020 it can be emailed to you.  If you have any diagnostic tests (X-rays, MRI, Cat-Scan) bring them for your Physical Therapist to review and help them in providing the best possible care for you.

Do you perform other services besides Physical Therapy?

Yes, we are a full service physical fitness facility and we offer several classes in Yoga, wellness and fitness. We can analyze your sports-achievement potential and help you play a better game, no matter what your favorite sport.

As of 2016 we do not offer Speech, Occupational Therapy and Psychological Services for pain management.

We can do some post-employment screenings, Functional Capacity Evaluations, work hardening/conditioning at our San Antonio Southside location.  Work Conditioning is offered in Boerne but DO NOT offer Work Hardening or preemployment screens.

What should I wear to my Physical Therapy evaluation and treatments?

You should wear loose fitting clothes and closed toe shoes (preferably tennis shoes). It is helpful to be able to get to the area we are treating if it is not covered with clothing. We have gowns if needed for certain parts of your treatment.
