Limb Loss people are our people.

Here, EVERYDAY is Leg Day.

FYZICAL Rockrimmon has become the leading treatment facility in Colorado Springs for limb difference.  Our therapists have all had specialized training, and can handle everything from your AMP test and initial weight-bearing, through gait training and outdoor activities using your prosthesis.

Our team has even been given specialized tools to make minor adjustments to your prosthesis on site during your physical therapy appointment, as long as your prosthetist has first given the okay. We currently collaborate with Hanger Clinic, Horizon Prosthetics, and Tolsma Stockwell Prosthetics.

In addition, we offer a collaborative clinic with dual-treatment appointments, so your physical therapist and your prosthetist can both get their expert eyes on you at the same time, allowing us to really dial in your prosthesis to hit your goals.

Do you work with patients with all types of limb loss?

FYZICAL Rockrimmon specializes in patients with unilateral and bilateral limb loss, both upper and lower extremities.  If there is something that comes up out of our scope, we know right where to send you, as we have standing relationships with some of the best prosthetists, therapists, and surgeons in town.

I heard you host the support group for amputees?

After our owner Lindsey had attended her own support groups as a special needs Mom, she partnered with a few of her limb lloss patients to host a support group FOR AMPUTEES, BY AMPUTEES.  No vendors, no sales.  Just chairs gathered round in fellowship to swap stories and share resources. Although FYZICAL Rockrimmon hosts, this event is for amputees and their guests only.  Leaps & Bounds Support Group meets every fourth Thursday, from 6-8.

What makes you a specialist?

The average physical therapy clinic has seen 2-4 limb loss patients in its lifetime; the average physical therapist, even less.  FYZICAL Rockrimmon physical therapists receive additional training to offer unique expertise in this slim specialty. We truly have a passion for amputee care. In a year and a half in business, FYZICAL Rockrimmon has already treated almost 40 limb loss patients, with more incoming. You will often see our  amputee patients slapping high-fives on the way through the lobby or comparing their socket fits.
